An experience to follow the journey of milk, from milking to tasting, and rediscover the true flavour of tradition through age-old practices.
Where time slows down and the air smells of hay, there is a world to explore. At the alpine dairy, every action is simple: you follow the rhythms of nature, listen to the farm animals, and learn by watching and doing. During this hands-on experience, Lucia awaits to show you a day in the life of a real cheesemaker and farmer. You will start by caring for the animals, brushing the cows, and collecting fresh eggs from the coop, before trying your hand at milking and cheesemaking. Watch the cheese take shape in your hands, while golden fritters slowly cook, releasing comforting aromas. It is an invitation to enjoy the mountains at a slower pace, rediscovering the simple tasks that connect us to the land, genuine flavours, and shared smiles.
Meeting point: every Thursday from 10:30 to 12:00 at Malga Jumela. The dairy can be reached with an easy downhill walk of about 40 minutes from Buffaure (uphill on the return). Buffaure is accessible by cable car from Pozza. This activity is suitable for children aged 3 and over. Difficulty: easy; not suitable for pushchairs. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and sports shoes.
Price: €5 per person, payable directly on-site. Booking is required by calling +39 348 9301215 after 16:00, by the day before the activity. Cable car tickets and any lunch (packed or at the dairy) are at the participants' expense. The Panorama Pass and Dolomiti Supersummer are valid for the cable car. The activity will be cancelled in case of bad weather.
